1945: The birth
The Établissement Public du Commerce et de l'Industrie de Corse works to create and develop develop air traffic
1947: Commercial services begin

1954: An avenue for our platform!
The runway is built
1959: A pivotal year in the life of our airport
The Établissement Public du Commerce et de l'Industrie de Corse becomes officially concession holder for commercial commercial operation of Bastia airport
1986: Change on the track!
The runway is extended to 2,510 metres
1992: Anticipating traffic
Start of works to extend the terminal bringing its capacity capacity to 1.5 million passengers
2005: The airport is modernised!
Integration technology «TELEBAG management/screening/ baggage baggage
2009: one million passengers!
Bastia airport millionaire. He has joined the circle of airports millionaires airports with record traffic of 1 011 820 passengers.
2015-2016: Structural work on our terminal building
Redevelopment of of the terminal with the expansion of the boarding hall by 600 m² boarding area & an increase in baggage delivery capacity, in order to absorb the growth in traffic.
2017: EASA European airport safety certification, AE certified
The airport is now able to to handle the largest modules modules (such as Boeing 747/777, Airbus A350)
2018: 1,500,000 passengers passed!
The airport handled 1,525,159 passengers.
2020-2021 : New infrastructure
Creation of a new boarding boarding area and creation of a new car cars
2023 : Labelling and certification
Obtaining the Aerobio LEVEL 1 label. This label demonstrates the investment and commitment made by the EPCI de Corse and the airport teams in terms of sustainable development and environmental protection. & Obtaining REDUCTION level certification, in recognition of the actions taken to reduce CO2 emissions.
