A true gateway to and showcase of Haute-Corse!

A plane taking off from Bastia Poretta

Bastia Poretta Airport (BIA) is the international gateway to Haute-Corse. As Corsica’s second-largest airport, we welcomed nearly 1.5 million passengers in 2024.

Bastia Poretta Airport is the best way to access the region it serves; it enhances the region’s appeal and helps to promote tourism there.

Under a concession agreement with the Corsican Regional Authority, the Corsican Public Agency for Trade and Industry is responsible for managing the Bastia Poretta hub.

In light of this concession granted by the Corsican Regional Authority, the Corsican Intermunicipal Public Establishment (EPCI) aims, on the one hand, the maintenance of airport facilities, the development of regional connectivity, and on the other hand, the’increased passenger satisfaction.

THE CORSICA EPCI HAS FOUR KEY MISSIONS:

Use:

To provide passengers with all the facilities they need to carry out their activities in complete safety and security (terminal, manoeuvring areas, car parks, passenger information, shops and services, check-in desks and counters, passenger screening and hold baggage checks).

Coordinate:

To develop its airport expertise in partnership with all regional institutional and professional stakeholders. Alongside this, the State retains responsibility for security and air navigation…

Promote:

To consolidate and contribute to the expansion of the network of scheduled and charter flights.

Invest:

Work with public authorities and partners to define the medium-term investment policy and act as project manager.
