Corsica's airports awarded the AéroBio label!

On Wednesday 1 April 2026, at a ceremony organised by the AeroBiodiversite association at the Maison de l'Environnement at Paris-Orly, Corsican airports were honoured for their commitment to biodiversity.

On this occasion :

  • Ajaccio airport awarded the AéroBio level 4 label
  • Bastia airport awarded the AéroBio level 3 label

The awards, which were presented at a press briefing following the association's general meeting, recognise the concrete initiatives that have been implemented for several years at Corsican airports. 🤝

Supported by the EPCI de Corse on the island's 4 platforms, this approach is based in particular on :

🌱 Carrying out fauna and flora inventories

🦋 Protecting heritage species

🤝 Mobilising teams and partners

📢 Raising awareness and communication

It illustrates a shared ambition: to reconcile the development of airport activities and the preservation of biodiversity, within a framework of sustainable infrastructure management.

These results reflect the collective commitment of the teams and partners in the region, and confirm the dynamic undertaken by Corsica's airports to fully integrate environmental issues into their activities.

The EPCI of Corsica would like to thank the Aéro Biodiversité association and its Scientific Council for their support, and will continue with the actions it has undertaken in order to take greater account of biodiversity on its platforms over the long term.
