On 31 July, Bastia Airport once again paid tribute to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who went missing whilst on a mission in 1944.
A pilot, writer and passionate chronicler of his time, he remains a key figure in French aviation and literature. His exceptional life story continues to embody the values of courage, pushing one’s limits and an openness to the world.
On this occasion, a moment of silence and a wreath-laying ceremony were held in front of the memorial erected in his memory, opposite our terminal.
